We're happy to introduce UpDog Kombucha to our menu this week! This local, women-owned small business started as a hobby by two college students and has now flourished across North Carolina and its surrounding states.
UpDog Kombucha is vegan, gluten-free, low-sugar, and low-calorie. There are no artificial flavors, preservatives, or added sugar post-fermentation. Naturally fermented, they combine a blend of green and black tea with a symbiotic culture of bacteria and yeast (SCOBY). The SCOBY then eats the sugar in the tea, creating gut-healthy bacteria and producing CO2 which gives the kombucha its sparkle. UpDog then adds flavor with fruit, roots, and herbs, making a healthy and tasty beverage for all! Each bottle is 12 fluid oz.
